About

Who we are

Employee Screening Services (ESS) is a full-service drug and alcohol screening provider. ESS provides a comprehensive array of services, including: on-site drug and alcohol testing by certified technicians; total DOT compliance services; drug and alcohol education; supervisor training; pre-employment, random, 24-hour drug and alcohol testing programs. In addition, ESS offers MVR checks, background checks, DOT and workplace physicals, hair follicle testing, and DNA Paternity testing.

Employee Screening Services has provided Consortium and Third Party administration for DOT compliance and Drug-Free Workplace Programs since 1991. We serve clients throughout Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Illinois, and Iowa.  ESS has helped many companies establish drug and alcohol testing programs following DOT regulations and/or the guidelines established by the institute for a Drug-Free Workplace. ESS customizes each client program to meet that client's specific needs.

I am writing in regards to our experience with Employee Screening Services. The KCP&L Safety and Medical Department uses Employee Screening Services to administer our DOT random drug-testing program. As the department manager, I have also coordinated the initiation of an onsite drug testing facility administered by Employee Screening Services at one of our construction sites.

MFA Incorporated & MFA Enterprises (agri-business)

MFA Incorporated and MFA Enterprises has used Employee Screening Services, (ESS) for drug and alcohol testing for several years. We have work sites all over the state of Missouri and in parts of four other states. We rely on ESS to conduct mandated Department of Transportation (DOT) drug/alcohol tests as well as a company wide drug/alcohol testing program.

ESS also does our post-accident testing whenever possible. A large number of our locations are in remote areas of Missouri which has not altered the level of service ESS is able to consistently provide.

MFA also relies on ESS to keep us updated on the ever-changing regulatory environment that drug/alcohol testing falls into. They are always available for council and provide advice that is solid.

ESS has always gone the extra mile to assure that MFA is a satisfied customer. When approached by several testing vendors asking if MFA would be interested in using their services, I politely inform them that we are extremely satisfied with our current vendor and see no reason to consider changing.
